Okay, this is pretty damn chill. I lover the orchestration, and that melodic line too, very few complaints at all! I think it's perfect! :D

I like it, definitely see this playing at some sort of lounge, Its a tad repetitive for my tastes though.
I like the softness and fluidity, but I feel this is missing something, maybe a soft, simple melody to add just a tad more interest and variety. This is a background genre, but I feel that with more variations this could turn out so much better.

Great work however, If I owned a business, I'd play this. :)

Ok great to hear,im glad you like it

Nice Jazzy feel.
I like all the sound selection, and the chords are pretty cool to listen too.
I could see this in some sort of game, not sure what kind though, perhaps a platformer?

Cheers

Suddenly, I feel like I'm playing a pandemic game.

Your use of effects is amazing, and the that lead work at around 1:15 is very cool with those Arpeggios, but even more impressive is how they don't over power that 2/3 note melody, you seem to have a great understanding of focus, its awesome. The melody and Chords are also awesome, I definitely felt like I was going somewhere.

I'm absolutely in love with this, great job!!!~

DX-Interactive responds:

Thanks so much, really glad you like it! I'm slowly getting better at all this music making stuff - I guess look up 'Secheron Peak' for more of my songs if you're interested. I'd love for this stuff to be put to use. Thanks again!

Perfectly constructed and delivered. It is very beautiful, and I'm sure your wife loves it, no matter where she is. Best wishes~

FateModified responds:

Thanks, I appreciate your kind comments.

Love all the variations, and that percussion.
It is a tad repetitive, and the bells are a bit too busy and has this really weird timing thing going on, I think it should be simplified a bit so it sounds a bit natural, that might be personal taste but eh.

Great job as always! Its surprising how much Garage Band can do!

FateModified responds:

Yeah, it is a bit repetitive, isn't it? I'll work on it more later. I was kind of going for a percussive rhythm feel to the bells, but maybe it didn't work so well. Thanks for the review, I appreciate the feedback :)

This sounds incredibly weird.
Love the intro, will look out for the full version. ;)

Tarteviant responds:

opera ragga funk pop lol

Pretty nice groove you got going there, really love the Bass, though I'd overlap it with a subbass personally, playing the same thing but an Octave down accompanying the acoustic bass.

Melodically, the note at 0:05-6 is a bit dissonant, and I don't feel that dissonance would be a feature in this kind of song me thinks. But that might just be me.

Excellent Job!~

FateModified responds:

Hey, thanks for the review! It's always great to get feedback from a fellow music composer.

On my computer's speakers (good headphones are another thing I need to invest in), the bass already sounds pretty deep to me, but I will try your suggestion to add the lower octave sub-bass. With the extra bass, it would probably give the song a more powerful sound. It's a good idea, I'll try it.

Thanks for catching that dissonant note for me. After you mentioned that, I went and listened to all the tracks as piano tracks, and I actually found some other notes as well that didn't sound quite right to me. Since I only learned a little bit of music theory on my own many years ago, I'm not so strong on composing harmonies - I do it pretty much all by ear instead of by knowledge. One thing that I learned recently though, is that in composing harmonies I should do all the tracks as piano tracks at first so it's easier to really hear how the different harmonies are working together. I forgot to do that this time :/

Thanks for the review! It really helps :D

Eeehhhh, This wasn't quite Trance, more like Ambient Techno.
In fact, there was no Trance to speak of at all. Pretty sure we have some genre mislabeling.
Now, I'd hate to have to explain an entire genre in a NG Review, so instead, here is a useful site:

http://techno .org/electronic-music-guide/ (remove space)

Its a website with a Electronic Music Genre Map, listen to some stuff in the Trance area, espcially Classic Trance, to really understand how Trance is constructed.

I'd also recommend listening to a Trance station on Di.Fm , Its free, with minimal ads.

Still, this is pretty neat, albeit incredibly minamalistic

Very sweet! Lovin' the bass!
I'd rather have the piano swapped for perhaps a square wave of some sort, but the lead in at 00:05-00:06 was neat.
In my opinion, the ending wasn't that complex, and the alternate melody sounded really cool. Of course, I enjoy music of a particular niche so eh.

Very nice! Love to see even more!

FateModified responds:

Thanks, I wasn't sure if using the piano was a good idea or not, and it seems that some people like it and others don't. I guess my subconscious influence from Chopin's amazing piano compositions made me do it. I wanted a break in there from the synth arpeggio, and to me the piano seemed like a good way to do it. But I think I will probably take out the piano in that part and find another way that fits better with the overall style of the song in the next version.

Thanks for the feedback, and I will try to keep the music coming. Right now it's difficult though because of other things going on in my life. But hopefully soon I should be able to do more.

Don't mind me, just a person. I do things from time to time.
