I have a bit of a question. How do you make these super seamless loops? Is it a feature of the program you use? : P

AlxEllis responds:

I'm glad you enjoyed it! thanks for reviewing!

I will send you a personal message just now to answer your question! :)

Ouu, this is quite nice. Good touch with that three tone rule, gives it a very classic feeling to it.

AlxEllis responds:

Thank you1 I have to admit it was rather difficult to make, I wanted it to sound good but at the same time not too basic, I've noticed Final Fantasy tracks 1,2,3 8bit in particular aren't very BOOM BOOM BOOM ACTION TIME! they're more orchestral sounding and relaxed yet threatening. So I'm glad I pulled this off!

Thank you for the good feedback as always!

Couldn't have said it better than Aisnon there. Great work!

AlxEllis responds:

Thank you very much! I'm pleased you enjoyed it! :)

Ooooohhh This is pretty great. I love the melodic work, and the chords do well to support it. This sounds very professional, wouldn't be surprised to hear in an NES RPG game.

AlxEllis responds:

Thanks alot! I'm glad you enjoy my music, I tried to make an improvement over my last game over/death theme called "Thy Quest Is Over" as it seemed a little bland.

Thanks for the feedback! :D

Very nice, though I feel this piece could use a short break in the intensity. Given this is beat-em-up music however, it is pretty fitting. I did not like the drums, while in the beginning I could hear a snare barely, the percussion mix is alllll Toms, or at least thats what that sounds like.
Good Effort. :)

AlxEllis responds:

Thank you for the review, I'm glad you enjoyed it! and yes maybe I'll make a V2 with less intensity, I was trying to go for a full on 1980s energy track, hence the heavy toms.

Glad you enjoyed it though, thanks for the feedback!

I for one think this is pretty fantastic. o3o

Cacola responds:

Thanks!

Very Atmospheric. Can totally imagine this in a movie or something. XD

zktaichou responds:

Why, thank you!

I am... not exactly certain this song was not ripped from Punk-o-matic 2. It's hard to imagine you'd happened to have the exact same sort of recording quality and equipment that gave PoM it's sound. I'm sorry but this sounds like it was ripped from the game and thus does not belong on the audio portal. You are better off posting this one Punkomatic.net

wr1t3r responds:

1) It was recorded from punk o matic for fun one day when I was bored.
2) Punkomatic.net isn't really too popular anymore anyway. Plus, I can't post actual audio to the website from what I've seen, but instead, the "tabs" of my songs.
3) There's no rules that say I can't post them to the audio portal, as I've seen dozens of other punk o matic songs on newgrounds.
4) It's actually a little bit complicated to make these songs, since punk o matic 2 is notorious for audio lag spikes and instruments going out of sync, so I work very hard on these songs for people to listen to on NG
5) It's fun as hell, so why stop?

Shit.
Great work man. I could use more bass though, both the guitar and dat kick drum.
But really, stellar playing. Also, I want those drums. Give me those drums.
...Please? ; ^ ;

Thomas L. has a bunch of presets for various Toontrack software on his Youtube channel. The one I happened to tweak with and use here was the Behemoth "Evangelion" preset for Superior Drummer's "Metal Foundry" expansion. Check out his channel here! https://www.youtube.com/user/Garell2/videos

I think the composition is okay, it could use a little more work, as there are a few nasty moments around 00:45. The mix could use a little work, the entire thing feels very claustrophobic and incredibly chaotic. I can barely think of what I am supposed to concentrate on really.

You have potential, just give us a break sometime to catch up.

jojoBiBop responds:

Hey i wanted to say thank you good critiques like these really help me. 🖤
Again thanks man

Don't mind me, just a person. I do things from time to time.
