Very sweet! Lovin' the bass!
I'd rather have the piano swapped for perhaps a square wave of some sort, but the lead in at 00:05-00:06 was neat.
In my opinion, the ending wasn't that complex, and the alternate melody sounded really cool. Of course, I enjoy music of a particular niche so eh.

Very nice! Love to see even more!

Thanks, I wasn't sure if using the piano was a good idea or not, and it seems that some people like it and others don't. I guess my subconscious influence from Chopin's amazing piano compositions made me do it. I wanted a break in there from the synth arpeggio, and to me the piano seemed like a good way to do it. But I think I will probably take out the piano in that part and find another way that fits better with the overall style of the song in the next version.

Thanks for the feedback, and I will try to keep the music coming. Right now it's difficult though because of other things going on in my life. But hopefully soon I should be able to do more.

Makes me feel like unleashing my ADHD at 100% Stupid. XD

By all means go for it! Hey, I rave/Flop around to good tech when no one's looking.. No shame

At least you have a mic, and singing experience.
Only problem is volume! Boost 'em up!
I wish I could sing as well as you one day :o

AkiCarlito responds:

ah no no > < compared to alot of other people i'm not even that good. thank you for your kind words!!! and i only have a really cheap mic which works decent is all :'D

How very avant-garde.
I definitely felt the spacy feel of this, great job! would love to hear more!

Tykwa responds:

thank you !

GarageBand? Are you fucking kidding me?
This does NOT sound like GarageBand.
Sir, you get all of my props. All of them.

This is absolutely perfect for some sort of cartoon, though personally I can't think of many IRL examples. Go get an artist friend and make a cartoon. :P

From a construction stand point, no issues with anything really. If this is paired with some sort of series or something, you can make something really Iconic, perhaps with this very song.
Keep at it! If this was on bandcamp, i'd buy this right away! XD

Hope you expand to better software soon!

FateModified responds:

Hey, thanks! Yeah, you can get some really good sounding instruments for your tracks in GarageBand if you play around with it long enough in adding effects to different instruments to see what type of sound you get. Sometimes though, it seems impossible to get the type of sound I want for a particular instrument. And I don't think there is a way to add triplets to the song. If there is, it really is not obvious. I would love to use more advanced software that has much less limitations. I should be able to get better software in a couple months or so. This making music stuff is so addictive... Thanks for the props :D

This is pretty swell! Definitely felt the beat, had my foot tappin' through out.

Though, the sound selection is pretty fizzy, while you did well with keeping fizzy sounds with the fizzy sounds and vice versa, the fizzy sounds are EXTREMELY FIZZY, those high frequencies hurt my ears a little bit, also, I would swap that piano out in the middle of the song for something else however, not just because of a lack of dynamics, but it just doesn't feel right for this kind of song.

Other than that, very impressive work! I like to throw around 16ths as well (normally to a odd time signature cause I'm insane) and you made something incredibly cool.
I especially like the ending's jitteryness

R3SP4WN responds:

Thanks so much for the review!

I get what you mean when you say fizzy sounds, and I felt forced to change some of the main melodies so I was running slightly different lead patterns after the piano solo.

And I guess it would make sense to have put something other than piano in the middle, considering that I couldn't think of a baseline that made sense to complement the solo. I just really like piano :D.

Thanks again for the review!

Simple, repetitive, Danceable. Just like the good ole days before it became mainstream. Me likey.
5 Stars! X3
Though for me, I both have the urge to headbang to this, and to bust a move. I can't decide! aaah!

Omgeezez girl i missed you lots!

Protip #1: Heavy Drums + Soft Delicate Piano = Huge Dynamic Dissonance. Its not bad to have Piano in the end or beginning for a Rap beat, but at least give it it's own space to live in.

Protip #2: Reverb. Reverb is pretty necessary in most rap beats to allow Instruments to give off "air" for the rap, without taking away from the rap. Without it, everything sounds stale.

Protip #3: BASS. You don't have any bass. Its a problem, yes its noticeable. It is very notice able. Even doing two 8th notes on a single note with in the same beat and repeated for each measure (ala The Beastie Boy's "Whatch'a want?" would be much better than no bass at all.

Other than that, this also could use more variations with the piano loop, as well as the synth mid song. Honestly, with that beat you got there, it sounds like the Melodies should be written in a minor key. Speaking of the Drums, it needs a lot of looking at. A lot of it is strangely timed and in-consistent with the exception of the snare. Normally, I like that, being a Progressive Sub-Genre Junky. But this is the Rap Genre, so it really feels out of place. The synth mid song is both not aggressive enough, and not in-obtrusive enough. I can't tell if its supposed to play over the rap or by itself, and its not suited to either task.

In the end, i'm going out on a limb and guessing this was like a "first song ever" experience.
So in the field of firsts, its okaaaayish. I'd like to see you continue, grow and improve. ;)

Cheers~

thanks for the tips but i make this was one of my very first songs xD ive gotten better I think but thanks for tips

More Sci-Fi than anything else for me, especially for this to be considered... "erotic".
I dunno, that's just me. Percussions give it a hint of tribal, but you gotta understand that there are a LOT of percussions involved with tribal music.
A lack of Bass Percussions is most notable.

Good luck!~

universalart responds:

Thank you for viewing it and I am a work in progress :) being that I just started this and like that I am learning to add additional instruments. I will be trying again and hope you enjoy the next one :)

This is pretty fantastic I tell you what.

RealFaction needs to work on his upper registers of course, something that can be improved with time. :)
Other than that, there is a bit of a mixing issue methinks. Rythem Guitar is a bit loud and over powering, Percussions don't have enough, Bass can be a bit Bassier, and I would apply Chorus to vocals in the middle (stopping at "Say goodbye to the past,
it was never meant to last.)

Actually the mixing issue might just be the Rythem guitar being too loud. :P

Great song!~ Loved it!~

Back-From-Purgatory responds:

Yeah, mixing issues are due mostly to the fact that the song was never designed for vocals, and I didn't edit the song to accommodate RealFactions vocals. If I did, I certainly would have made a few changes to let the vocals sit better in the song.

Funny story though, part of the reason the rhythm guitar is a bit over-powering is because I run a fairly bass heavy tone... And there's no bass in the song, aside from the bassy frequencies from the rhythm guitar... And I boosted the bass to give a little bit more punch to the music. I guess I boosted it a little bit too much. Live and learn.

Glad you like it though.

Don't mind me, just a person. I do things from time to time.
